OLIVER TAKES TO TWO WHEELS

With nearly a month’s gap between Motegi and Okayama, as you can imagine I was desperate to get back in the car again.   It has been quite strange for me in Japan having such long gaps between races compared to British F3.  This is the first time I haven’t been trying to combine racing with working or studying at Uni so I’ve found myself with a surprising amount of free time on my hands!

HARD WORK, YOU'VE GOT TO BE JOKING!

It has only been a few weeks since my last blog but it seems such a lot has happened. Well, I finally returned home for the A1 GP Brands Hatch race and also to see family and friends which was great. 

That said, my time in the UK was pretty much filled with press activities during the build-up to Brands Hatch.  And, even after the actual race itself, there were awards events.  I think it was one of the most hectic weeks I've experienced trying to fit everything in.  I think I would be lying if I said some of the promotional activities were hard work … if you've seen the photos you will know what I mean!  The team have said they've never seen us smile so much but, hey, who can blame us?!

Exploring Japan

It's been an interesting couple of weeks since Fuji.   Arriving in Suzuka on race weekend, I hadn't actually been in the car for a couple of weeks.  

I decided that while I had the opportunity, it was about time I explored a bit more of Japan as up until this point all I had seen were race tracks, the airport and the area around my apartment.

A new month racing with a view

Having returned from a fantastic weekend in Mexico where I managed to finally get that long awaited win for A1 Team GBR, there was little time to relax as I headed straight into my first All Japan F3 race of the season at Fuji.
