Oliver Jarvis was in the points again for the second consecutive time driving the Audi A4 DTM on Sunday (18 May) at Germany’s EuroSpeedway in front of 80,000 spectators.
The 24 year old British DTM newcomer finished in eighth place and once again, was the best driver in a year old car, having qualified in ninth place.
“It was a good race with a fast car. Unfortunately, I got entangled in a starting tussle which made me lose a few positions, but thanks to good pit stops, I was able to make up ground again. Eighth place in a 2007 spec car is a good result for our team,” says Oliver Jarvis.
Ernst Moser (Team Director Audi Sport Team Phoenix) says, “Like at Mugello, we managed to achieve our goals. Our drivers were strong, and so was our team with the pit stops.”
Oliver currently sits in ninth position in the DTM Championship after four rounds. The next race is at Norisring on 29 June. DTM comes to Brands Hatch on 30-31 August. |
