DTM BACK IN BRITAIN AT BRANDS

Oliver Jarvis will be back home on British soil next weekend (5 and 6 September) as DTM returns to Brands Hatch, Kent.

In a series so far that has comprised six races, five different winners with two Audi drivers at the top of the standings, DTM at Brands Hatch is the place to be next weekend!

No stranger to the Brands Hatch circuit is 25 year old Briton, Oliver Jarvis competing in DTM for Audi Sport Team Phoenix.   In fact, Brands Hatch is the shortest of the DTM race tracks with a length of 1.929 km.

Oliver, currently standing 8th in the Championship with 14 points says, “I can hardly wait to be competing at my home circuit at Brands Hatch.  I’m very much looking forward to the event and I’m expecting a great race.  I’m hoping to be quick and to be able to score some more points.”

Speaking about the circuit in more detail, Oliver says, “I love Brands Hatch, not least because I was successful there in both Formula Renault and British Formula 3.  The whole circuit has a lot of character.  Paddock Hill is arguably one of the best turns of all.  Although the Indy circuit is short, it is demanding and physically very strenuous.  In the rain, it is particularly difficult, especially the first two turns.   At Brands you can do two or three laps on the same set of tyres in Qualifying whereas at other circuits, it is normally only possible for one lap.  The atmosphere at Brands Hatch is fantastic and spectator viewing is excellent.”

DTM Qualifying is at 12.35pm on Saturday 5 August. The DTM race takes place at 1pm on Sunday 6 September.  It is supported by action from the Formula 3 Euro Series and Formula Ford.
