JARVIS TAKES OVER KRISTENSEN’S DTM SEAT
Oliver Jarvis is to take over the seat of the Le Mans record winner Tom Kristensen in next year’s DTM series.  This exciting announcement means for the first time in his Audi career, he will be driving a current DTM car in the most popular international touring car series.

2010 will mark Oliver’s third year as an Audi ‘factory’ driver and will see him switch from Audi Sport Team Phoenix to Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline, a team that has for the past three years secured the Driver’s title.  Tom Kristensen leaves to focus on his sports car racing.

Head of Audi Motorsport, Dr Wolfgang Ullrich, said: “We are pleased to give our youngest ‘factory’ driver the chance to prove his prowess in a current DTM car.  “The performances Oliver has shown in his first DTM years at the wheel of a year-old A4 go in his favour.”

“I am thrilled to be given this opportunity and thoroughly look forward to the challenge ahead in the latest spec car,” said 25 year old Oliver from Burwell, Cambridgeshire who finished 9th in the standings in 2009 – and was the highest of the Audi drivers in a year old car.  “I have really enjoyed my time with Team Phoenix and would like to thank them for all their support over the last two years."
