Jarvis Makes Le Mans Debut this Weekend
Oliver Jarvis is to make his debut in this weekend’s famous Le Mans 24 Hours endurance sports car race (12-13 June). The 26 year old Audi DTM driver from Cambridgeshire will drive for the Audi ‘customer’ team Kolles. He takes the wheel alongside Christian Bakkerud and Christian Albers in the line up to get behind the wheel of the diesel engined Audi R10 TDI, a car that made its debut in 2006.  This is a car he has raced only twice before at Okayama last autumn.  There he made an impression, successfully finishing third and fifth in the three-hour races in the Asian Le Mans series.

“It is a real honour to be competing at Le Mans driving an Audi and a huge challenge that I will really enjoy,” says Jarvis who since 2008 has been a factory driver for Audi competing in the immensely popular German touring car DTM series.  “I have only race driven the R10 TDI once before in Japan but on a track that was completely different to the Le Mans circuit.  It will be great experience for the future and my main aim is to finish the race.”
