In between races I try and keep as fit as possible so to keep up momentum with training and exercise I periodically enter fitness events. In 2014 I completed the Nottingham Marathon, in 2015 along with a group of my friends/training partners I took part in The Jenson Button Triathlon which gave us the idea and determination to enter into the IronMan.

For those of you that are unaware what an IronMan involves, it’s a brutal triathlon starting with a 3.8km (2.4miles) open water swim followed swiftly by a 180km (112miles) road cycle and finished with a marathon run, 42km (26.2miles) covering a total distance of 140.6 miles.
